Jose and his son did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier. They never had a bad attitude and were very professional. They took a lot of pride in their work and were always sure that the work was done right. This was a stress and worry free experience and you have developed trust and a loyal client. I will recommend you to everyone I know! I know I will enjoy my deck for many years to come! Thank you so much Mr. O'Leary, Jose, and his son as well as the rest of the team. Thank you so much! Leaving entire handfuls of screws and decking debris isn’t a mistake. It is lazy and unprofessional. Your employee simply has no pride or work ethic. Yes, this was done through the HOA. No, we are not simply “renters” – that would be a convenient excuse for you. Our family owns this unit. Since you have done “many projects in this community for the HOA,” you should have absolutely known that this deck, just like every other deck, included staining to match the rest of the community – why would this one be any different? The invoice should have been exactly like every single deck you have already done to alleged satisfaction – that is sheer incompetence on your behalf. You got caught trying to cut corners. Lastly, most importantly and now personally: you are a misogynistic liar as is your employee that came over to color match: I pulled the video and audio footage from the interaction between my partner and your employee regarding color matching the deck at the front door and back patio. NEVER ONCE was she disrespectful, rude, condescending or demanding. Quite the contrary, actually. She was polite, respectful and kind. Never once did she demand that you would “be staining the entire deck,” nor did she demand that you “would stain it to the color of her choice.” The camera doesn’t lie. You clearly do. O’Leary and Sons is a dishonest, incompetent, lazy company with unprofessional and misogynistic employees. Stay far away from these fools. ------------------------------------ (Original review below) O’Leary and Sons was contracted to do a deck repair at our home. Had it not been for the HOA who chose them, I would have gone with a different company. I strongly encourage you to find a different company for your decking needs if you are looking into this company. To start, after the initial board and railing replacement, the employee left my back patio in absolute disarray. There were scores of metal screws, decking hardware, splintered wood debris and trash all over — it took hours to clean up myself. Not to mention the danger this poses to us and our dogs. This was the first red flag. After the repairs, I inquired as to when the staining would be completed as the new boards didn’t have any color. I was told “oh, that’s another crew that does that, they will come by another time to finish the project.” That was months and months ago. That should have been a second red flag. Four weeks ago, I finally called the office to inquire as to when the staining would be completed. The office manager stated she would send an employee out to color match and then complete the staining within a few days of coming out to color match (total timeline proposed was less than seven days). I also shared my displeasure with the condition they left my patio in. An employee came out to color match about two weeks ago. That was the last time we have had any contact with the company. I called again today to state my frustration with the original timeline that wasn’t accurate and inquired as to when we could realistically expect to have the deck stained. The office manager was less than helpful and stated that they were essentially doing us a favor by staining the deck after the fact. Weird… I figured that doing a complete job would be expected of a company. To recap: left my property is dangerous disarray with scores of metal screws, decking hardware, wood chips and splinters and trash. Said they would come back to stain. Never did. Called to schedule staining since they never came back. Only came out to color match, never stained. Called again to get someone out to finish this project — office manager said it was a favor they were doing that and alluded to them possibly not doing it not now. Now we have a deck that’s three different colors, unfinished and unsightly. And, worst of all: a company that won’t finish their work. No professionalism or quality workmanship can be expected from this company. Steer clear and find someone else!jim wisdom2023-11-03Very good company to do business with. Quality work.Elayne Varner2023-11-02I can’t say enough good things about O’Leary and Sons. From the office staff to the hardworking gentlemen who built/stained our deck, everyone was professional, upfront, pleasant, and respectful. They were extremely easy to work with and did not try to up-sell any products. There were no “hidden charges” and their prices were reasonable. The deck they gave me looks better than I expected and they were very good at cleaning up the job-site every day before they left. The guys that did all the hard-work were very professional and proficient. They were even so kind as to re-hang my granddaughter’s swing and our security camera! Truly, an awesome group of guys! I am so pleased with the job they did, I already have 2 more projects for next year! I highly recommend this company. They are an honest group of people who produce amazing, high-quality decks!Google rating score: 4.5 of 5, based on 161 reviews
